︎DESCRIPCIÓN / BRIEF


En un tejido de planeamiento abigarrado —parcelas mínimas, viviendas pareadas y

calles carentes de vegetación— el proyecto se posiciona desde la introspección.


Frente a un entorno inmediato fragmentado y, en ocasiones, hostil en su escala y

proximidad, las casas se conciben como refugios ensimismados, con un rico mundo

interior, exhuberante y fresco que desplaza el foco desde lo exterior hacia una

experiencia doméstica contenida, serena y cuidadosamente construida.


Se trata de tres viviendas adosadas para tres familias distintas que, pese a sus distintas

distribuciones interiores forman una única entidad formal y visual.


No se persigue la uniformidad, sino una coherencia basada en estrategias comunes:

cada casa es diferente, pero todas responden a una misma lógica espacial, climática

y material.


La implantación parte de una decisión clara: cerrar la vivienda hacia la calle —situada

al este— y volcarla hacia el jardín, orientado al oeste.


En parcelas reducidas, esto implica liberar al máximo la planta baja para el jardín y el

porche, desplazando el mayor programa construido a la planta alta. 
Así, una rotunda

“pastilla” de dormitorios se sitúa sobre el estar, comedor y estudio, no solo optimizando

superficie sino actuando como protección solar frente al duro poniente, generando a

su vez un profundo porche.


Sin embargo, la operación fundamental no es solo volumétrica, sino atmosférica. La

vivienda se sitúa ligeramente a una cota inferior respecto al jardín y al patio central, de

manera que la mirada se establece a ras de la vegetación. 
Este gesto sútil, transforma

la percepción del entorno: el límite visual se construye desde lo vegetal y no desde lo

edificado. El profundo porche, tamizado por lamas de madera de castaño, junto con la

densidad del jardín, filtran las vistas y diluyen la presencia de edificaciones cercanas,

a menudo desproporcionadas.


En el interior, la luz se trabaja como un material más. Se rehúye la incidencia directa

para favorecer una iluminación filtrada, cambiante y doméstica. Para ello, tres patios

organizan la distribución de cada casa: introducen el jardín en el interior, generan

ventilación cruzada y construyen un sistema de “chimeneas” térmicas que regulan el

clima de manera pasiva. 
Un cuarto patio, enterrado, actúa como reserva de aire fresco

y luz, reforzando esta lógica ambiental.


La cocina se abre a un pequeño patio orientado al este, donde un emparrado filtra la

luz de la mañana y construye un ámbito cotidiano, íntimo, casi ritual: el desayuno bajo

sombra vegetal.


Los lucernarios —el principal atravesando toda la casa para bañar la pared del estar,

en los baños o en el núcleo de escalera— completan este sistema, introduciendo luz

cenital e indirecta en los puntos más profundos de la casa.


El resultado es un conjunto de viviendas que, aunque masivas y contenidas hacia el

exterior, se revelan permeables y complejas hacia el interior.


Compactas en su forma, pero horadadas por vacíos que permiten que el jardín penetre

en la vivienda y que la vivienda se expanda hacia el jardín.


En definitiva, un sistema doméstico que construye un pequeño oasis: un lugar donde

la luz se filtra, la vegetación acompaña y el exterior inmediato se diluye. Un espacio del

que no es necesario salir.

︎DESCRIPCIÓN / BRIEF

El lujo de no necesitar más.


Este proyecto marca el inicio de nuestra nueva línea Case Study Tini: viviendas predefinidas diseñadas con lo más esencial de la&#38;nbsp;arquitectura, lejos de los catálogos de casas prefabricadas y cerca del espíritu de las Case Study&#38;nbsp;Houses.


Aquella arquitectura moderna de mediados de siglo que supo unir claridad formal, eficiencia constructiva y&#38;nbsp;sensibilidad con el lugar. En Tini Living, creemos que es momento de retomar esa visión: construir casas que&#38;nbsp;celebren lo esencial, que abracen el entorno y se definan por la precisión, la proporción y la luz.


Después de años desarrollando proyectos a medida con nuestro sistema constructivo industrializado, decidimos&#38;nbsp;volcar todo lo aprendido en una serie de casas cuidadosamente diseñadas, optimizadas y replicables.


Arquitectura clara, serena, duradera.

Una vivienda que no interrumpe, sino que acoge


En este primer proyecto, el diseño nace del lugar. El terreno —con cárcavas de tierra rojiza, robles maduros y una&#38;nbsp;topografía marcada— exigía una arquitectura que no compitiera, sino que se fundiera con el paisaje.

Por eso, la vivienda principal utiliza una fachada de viroc rojo, que se mimetiza con los tonos del entorno. Los muros&#38;nbsp;encalados in situ generan patios interiores y zonas de transición, donde habitan higueras y adelfas. Vegetación&#38;nbsp;local, fresca y misteriosa, que convierte cada umbral en una experiencia.


La tapia, curvada con intención, crea una pradera suave que respeta una encina existente. Así, el horizonte se vuelve&#38;nbsp;continuo, sin aristas. Una pequeña piscina completa el conjunto, como una pausa silenciosa en medio del paisaje.


Materiales nobles, atmósferas serenas&#38;nbsp;Fieles a nuestra filosofía, cada material ha sido elegido no solo por su belleza, sino por su capacidad de envejecer&#38;nbsp;con dignidad.


Los interiores están revestidos en paneles de pino, que desde el exterior proyectan una luz casi dorada. El pavimento,&#38;nbsp;de roble y corcho, aporta calidez, textura, silencio. Todo busca una sensación de refugio, de hogar.


A pocos metros, una Tini separada actúa como habitación de invitados. Su fachada de acero galvanizado refleja&#38;nbsp;los matices del bosque y se disuelve entre los robles. El interior está forrado en bambú y roble, creando un espacio&#38;nbsp;compacto, cálido y sereno.


Arquitectura racional. Proporción humana.


La proporción, la orientación y la integración con el lugar son los principios que guían el diseño. Nada es arbitrario.&#38;nbsp;Cada decisión responde a una búsqueda de claridad, permanencia y respeto por el entorno.


Este proyecto forma parte de una serie de viviendas concebidas como “casos de estudio”: propuestas rigurosas,&#38;nbsp;desarrolladas con atención al detalle y capacidad de adaptación. Un sistema constructivo depurado y preciso,&#38;nbsp;fruto de la experiencia, permite abordar cada proyecto con agilidad y control, manteniendo siempre la calidad y la&#38;nbsp;intención arquitectónica.

The Luxury of Needing Nothing More


This project marks the beginning of our new Case Study Tini line: pre-designed homes conceived with the highest&#38;nbsp;architectural standards, far removed from typical prefab house catalogues and closer to the spirit of the Case Study&#38;nbsp;Houses. That mid-century modern architecture knew how to combine formal clarity, construction eficiency, and&#38;nbsp;a deep sensitivity to place.


At Tini Living, we believe it is time to reclaim that vision: to build homes that celebrate what is essential, embrace&#38;nbsp;their surroundings, and are defined by precision, proportion, and light. After years of developing bespoke projects&#38;nbsp;with our industrialized construction system, we have poured everything we’ve learned into a series of carefully&#38;nbsp;designed, optimized, and replicable houses.


Clear, serene, enduring architecture.


A Home That Welcomes Rather Than Interrupts


In this first project, the design grows from the site itself. The plot—with its red earth ravines, mature oaks, and&#38;nbsp;pronounced topography—called for an architecture that would not compete but merge with the landscape. For this&#38;nbsp;reason, the main house uses a red *viroc* façade that blends with the surrounding hues. Whitewashed on-site walls&#38;nbsp;create inner courtyards and transitional spaces where fig trees and oleanders take root. Local, fresh, and slightly&#38;nbsp;mysterious vegetation turns every threshold into an experience.


The intentionally curved wall forms a gentle meadow that preserves an existing oak, le"ing the horizon flow&#38;nbsp;uninterrupted, without sharp edges. A small pool completes the ensemble, like a quiet pause in the landscape.


Honest Materials, Serene Atmospheres&#38;nbsp;
True to our philosophy, each material has been chosen not only for its beauty but for its capacity to age with&#38;nbsp;dignity. The interiors are clad in pine panels, which cast an almost golden light when seen from outside. Oak and&#38;nbsp;cork flooring add warmth, texture, and a sense of calm. Everything seeks to create a feeling of refuge, of home.


A few meters away, a separate tini unit acts as a guest room. Its galvanized steel façade reflects the forest’s&#38;nbsp;changing tones and dissolves among the oaks. The interior is lined with bamboo and oak, creating a compact,&#38;nbsp;warm, and serene space.


Rational Architecture. Human Proportion.


Proportion, orientation, and integration with the site are the principles that guide the design. Nothing is arbitrary.&#38;nbsp;Every decision stems from a search for clarity, permanence, and respect for the surroundings.


This project is part of a series of homes conceived as “case studies”: rigorous proposals, developed with attention&#38;nbsp;to detail and adaptability in mind. A refined, precise construction system—shaped by years of experience—makes it&#38;nbsp;possible to approach each project with agility and control while always maintaining quality and architectural intent.

︎DESCRIPCIÓN / BRIEF


La casa y el jardín


Esta vivienda se articula en torno a dos patios que organizan el espacio y lo llenan de sentido. No son solo vacíos entre muros: son lugares vividos, que traen el jardín al interior y difuminan los límites entre dentro y fuera. En invierno recogen la luz con generosidad; en verano, el agua de la alberca introduce el frescor y el murmullo que acompañan la vida.


El acceso a la vivienda se plantea como un recorrido pausado, casi ceremonial. Una larga tapia blanca acompaña el avance, guiando con discreción hasta un porche cubierto con lamas de madera. Allí comienza una rampa tendida, suave, que asciende de forma casi imperceptible mientras el espacio se recoge y la luz se atenúa poco a poco. Se potencia así la transición del exterior al interior, de la claridad a la penumbra. El zaguán de entrada mantiene esta altura contenida, y una luz aún tenue se filtra a través de los patios, que acompañan y ordenan el recorrido con naturalidad. Son ellos quienes marcan el ritmo de la casa, guiando hasta el espacio principal, donde el volumen se eleva y la luz entra con plenitud. La arquitectura se abre entonces, tras un trayecto medido, silencioso y lleno de intención.


El proyecto parte de una búsqueda de lo esencial: la correcta orientación, la proporción serena, la sinceridad en el uso de los materiales. Los dormitorios se orientan al este, buscando el sol de la mañana, y descienden ligeramente respecto al resto de la casa. Esta diferencia de cota permite un contacto visual íntimo con el jardín, casi a ras de tierra, y contribuye al control térmico en los meses más cálidos.


La vida cotidiana se organiza en torno al patio principal. Las estancias de estar y comedor se abren hacia él y se extienden hacia un gran porche orientado al sur, que protege las cristaleras del exceso de luz y permite vivir al borde entre interior y exterior.


La cubierta no se limita a cubrir: se pliega con una geometría precisa que recoge y matiza la luz, generando una expresión sobria pero singular. Desde el volumen que emerge sobre el conjunto se ubica el estudio, un lugar de trabajo y contemplación suspendido sobre el jardín, en contacto visual con el monte de encinas y berrocales.


Uno de los elementos más especiales del proyecto es la escalera que conduce al estudio. Ligera, suspendida, metálica con peldaños de madera, flota en el espacio como una pieza independiente. Está colgada desde la estructura superior, sin apoyos directos, y su presencia marca con elegancia el núcleo vertical de la casa. No solo lleva al estudio —una estancia en altura, orientada hacia el monte de encinas de Galapagar—, sino que también articula sutilmente el tránsito hacia la zona de dormitorios, como si orientara el recorrido sin imponerlo.


Los materiales utilizados responden a una lógica de armonía y permanencia en el tiempo,&#38;nbsp; muros enfoscados en blanco y madera de pino que aporta calidez.&#38;nbsp; El pavimento&#38;nbsp; es de barro cocido y fue elaborado a mano en Marruecos, Cada pieza, única e imperfecta, fue colocada con cuidado por artesanos marroquíes durante semanas. Su trabajo minucioso llevó más tiempo que el necesario para levantar toda la estructura metálica de la cubierta, haciendo de este suelo una verdadera joya.


Dicha estructura, en cambio, se preparó en taller y llegó a obra ya precortada, agilizando su montaje con una precisión que responde a una voluntad clara de eficacia y control.


No se trata de una arquitectura que pretenda destacar, sino de una casa que se deja habitar. Que dialoga con su entorno y con el tiempo, y que busca —desde la sobriedad— acompañar la vida de forma natural y silenciosa.

The House and the Garden


This house is organized around two patios that give shape to the space and infuse it with meaning. They are not merely voids between walls—they are lived spaces that draw the garden into the interior and blur the boundaries between inside and out. In winter, they gather light generously; in summer, the water in the reflecting pool brings coolness and a gentle murmur that quietly accompanies life.


The entrance to the house unfolds as a measured, almost ceremonial sequence. A long white wall guides the approach with discretion, leading to a porch shaded by wooden slats. From there, a gentle, elongated ramp begins to ascend almost imperceptibly, as the space narrows and the light gradually dims. The transition from exterior to interior, from brightness to shadow, is thus carefully amplified. The entrance hall maintains this restrained height, and a faint, filtered light begins to seep in through the patios, which naturally guide and structure the path. It is they who set the rhythm of the house, leading toward the main space, where the volume rises and natural light finally floods in. The architecture opens up only then—after a quiet, deliberate journey full of intention.


The project stems from a search for the essential: proper orientation, serene proportions, and honesty in the use of materials. The bedrooms face east, welcoming the morning sun, and are set slightly lower than the rest of the house. This difference in level allows for an intimate visual connection with the garden, almost at ground level, and contributes to thermal comfort during the warmer months.


Daily life is organized around the main patio. The living and dining rooms open out toward it and extend to a large south-facing porch that shields the glazed openings from excessive sunlight 


and allows for a way of living on the threshold between interior and exterior.


The roof does more than simply cover; it folds with precise geometry, gathering and softening the light, creating an expression that is sober yet distinctive. From the volume that rises above the rest of the house sits the study—a suspended space for work and contemplation, visually connected to the surrounding oaks and granite outcrops.


One of the most distinctive elements of the project is the staircase leading to this study. Light and suspended, made of metal with wooden treads, it floats in space like an autonomous piece. It hangs from the upper structure without direct supports, and its presence elegantly marks the vertical core of the house. It not only leads to the elevated study—facing the hills of Galapagar—but also subtly structures the transition toward the bedroom area, as if guiding the path without dictating it.


The materials used follow a logic of harmony and permanence over time: white-rendered walls and warm pine wood. The flooring is made of hand-fired clay tiles crafted in Morocco. Each piece, unique and irregular, was carefully laid by Moroccan artisans over the course of several weeks. Their meticulous work took longer than the entire assembly of the metal roof structure, making this floor a true jewel of the house.


That structure, by contrast, was prefabricated in a workshop and arrived on site already cut, allowing for quick and precise installation—a clear expression of efficiency and control.


This is not an architecture that seeks to stand out, but a house that allows itself to be inhabited. One that converses with its surroundings and with time, and that aspires—through restraint—to accompany life in a natural and quiet way.

︎DESCRIPCIÓN / BRIEF

Las nuevas oficinas centrales de tini nacen de un reto doble: acoger a una empresa&#38;nbsp;joven dedicada a la arquitectura industrializada —con una media de edad de 27 años—&#38;nbsp;y traducir su carácter único en un espacio físico.


Un lugar que fuese elegante pero disruptivo, serio pero joven, y que, sobre todo,&#38;nbsp;invitara a crear.


La intervención parte de la unión de dos oficinas previamente compartimentadas. La&#38;nbsp;operación clave consiste en liberar el espacio y potenciar la luz natural para construir&#38;nbsp;una planta abierta, flexible y luminosa. Una estantería continua y quebrada organiza&#38;nbsp;el programa de manera fluida: genera ambientes distintos, pero conectados donde se&#38;nbsp;produzcan conversaciones espontaneas.


El espacio existente estaba condicionado por dos largos ventanales de visiones&#38;nbsp;radicalmente opuestas.


Por un lado, la fachada Este hacia la plaza interior del edificio: una vista dura, sin&#38;nbsp;vegetación ni interés alguno. Por el otro, la fachada Oeste una vista ininterumpida de&#38;nbsp;las copas de plátanos, pinos y cedros de la urbanización de La Florida, una panorámica&#38;nbsp;elevada que cambia con las estaciones.


Esto condiciona totalmente la intervención.&#38;nbsp;En la fachada menos amable se agrupan las salas de reuniones, que se cierran hacia&#38;nbsp;el espacio central mediante una partición de costillas de madera y policarbonato&#38;nbsp;translúcido retroiluminado, rematada con estores de bambú. Así se difumina la vista&#38;nbsp;sin renunciar a la luminosidad.


En cambio, todo el espacio central se abre completamente a la vista vegetal,&#38;nbsp;incluso colocando espejos estrategicamente para que cada puesto de trabajo,&#38;nbsp;independientemente de su posición, pueda disfrutar del paisaje.


La materialidad responde a la filosofía de tini: sinceridad constructiva, calidez y un&#38;nbsp;lenguaje industrial sin artificios.


El primer gesto es retirar la moqueta existente y dejar el suelo técnico de acero&#38;nbsp;galvanizado completamente visto, convirtiéndolo en una superficie vibrante y honesta.


Este carácter industrial se equilibra mediante madera en particiones, puertas, mobiliario&#38;nbsp;y detalles que aportan un contrapunto cálido y amable.&#38;nbsp;Los panelados naranjas y los revestimientos acústicos de PET reciclado, en sutiles&#38;nbsp;variaciones del naranja tini, construyen un hilo cromático coherente con el brand book&#38;nbsp;de la empresa. El último toque se da con plantas exuberantes, como la gran alocasia,&#38;nbsp;que da ambiente y frescor visual.


El resultado es un ambiente cálido, luminoso y acogedor, donde apetece trabajar. Un&#38;nbsp;espacio que no pretende replicar un proyecto de tini, pero sí evocar la misma sensación&#38;nbsp;que ellos buscan en su arquitectura: sencillez, honestidad, en definitiva un espacio&#38;nbsp;acogedor que te invita a quedarte.

The new headquarters of tini were born from a double challenge: to accommodate a&#38;nbsp;young company dedicated to industrialized architecture —with an average age of 27—&#38;nbsp;and to translate its unique character into a physical space.


A place that would be elegant yet disruptive, serious but young, and above all, inviting&#38;nbsp;to creativity.


The intervention begins with the merging of two previously compartmentalized offices.&#38;nbsp;The key operation consists in freeing the space and enhancing natural light to create an&#38;nbsp;open, flexible and bright floor plan. A continuous and folded shelving system organizes&#38;nbsp;the program in a fluid way: it generates distinct but connected environments where&#38;nbsp;spontaneous conversations can occur.


The existing space was conditioned by two long windows with radically opposite views.


On one side, the east façade facing the building’s inner courtyard: a harsh view, without&#38;nbsp;vegetation or any interest. On the other, the west façade with an uninterrupted view&#38;nbsp;of the treetops—plane trees, pines and cedars—of the La Florida development, an&#38;nbsp;elevated panorama that changes with the seasons.


This completely conditions the intervention.

On the less pleasant façade, the meeting rooms are grouped, closed toward the central&#38;nbsp;space by a partition of wooden ribs and backlit translucent polycarbonate, finished&#38;nbsp;with bamboo blinds. This softens the view without sacrificing brightness.


In contrast, the entire central space opens completely to the green view, even placing&#38;nbsp;mirrors strategically so that every workstation, regardless of its position, can enjoy the&#38;nbsp;landscape.


The materiality responds to tini’s philosophy: constructive sincerity, warmth, and an&#38;nbsp;industrial language without artifices.&#38;nbsp;The first gesture is to remove the existing carpet and leave the galvanized steel raised&#38;nbsp;floor completely exposed, turning it into a vibrant and honest surface. This industrial&#38;nbsp;character is balanced by wood in partitions, doors, furniture and details that provide a&#38;nbsp;warm and friendly counterpoint.


The orange paneling and recycled PET acoustic cladding, in subtle variations of tini’s&#38;nbsp;orange, create a chromatic thread consistent with the company’s brand book. The final&#38;nbsp;touch comes with lush plants, such as the large alocasia, which brings atmosphere and&#38;nbsp;visual freshness.


The result is a warm, bright and welcoming environment where you feel like working.

A space that does not seek to replicate a tini project, but rather to evoke the same&#38;nbsp;feeling they aim for in their architecture:&#38;nbsp;simplicity, honesty, ultimately a welcoming space that invites you to stay.

︎DESCRIPCIÓN / BRIEF

Ubicada en lo alto de una ladera, rodeada de pinos y ullastres menorquines, esta casa temporal es la primera fase de un proyecto mayor. 


Por la rapidez que se buscaba para disfrutar del paisaje, así como para tener el menor impacto posible en él se optó por una solución de módulos totalmente industrializados&#38;nbsp;que llegaron totalmente acabados.

La belleza del lugar invitó a crear una configuración fuera de lo convencional, con recorridos exteriores y pasarelas de acceso, que potencian el contacto de la casa con su entorno y permitió no hacer ningun trabajo de unión in situ.


De manera inteligente, los usos se separan en función de su grado de privacidad y aprovechando las mejores orientaciones para cada espacio. 

Para ello los módulos, de 3x9,8m, se disponen en T de manera que las zonas comunes, estar comedor-cocina aprovechan las vistas al mar y la orientación sur, mientras que los dormitorios miran al este, aprovechando la agradable luz del amanecer. 


Además, esta configuración respeta todos los árboles existentes y los incorpora a los recorridos de acceso.


En el clima Mediterráneo es importante crear sombras donde estar fresco, y así lo hemos hecho en este proyecto, añadiendo distintos filtros como la pérgola de cañizo o las cortinas de hilo que se mecen con el viento de la tramontana.

Located at the top of a hillside, surrounded by pine trees and Menorcan ullastres, this temporary house is the first phase of a larger project.
Due to the speed that was sought to enjoy the landscape, as well as to have the least possible impact on it, a solution of fully industrialized modules that arrived fully finished was chosen.The beauty of the place invited us to create an unconventional configuration, with exterior routes and access walkways, which enhance the contact of the house with its surroundings and made it possible not to do any joining work on site.
Intelligently, uses are separated based on their degree of privacy and taking advantage of the best orientations for each space.To do this, the modules, measuring 3x9.8m, are arranged in a T shape so that the common areas, living-dining room-kitchen take advantage of the sea views and the south orientation, while the bedrooms face east, taking advantage of the pleasant light of dawn.Furthermore, this configuration respects all existing trees and incorporates them into the access routes.
In the Mediterranean climate it is important to create shadows where it is cool, and we have done so in this project, adding different filters such as the reed pergola or the string curtains that sway with the north wind.
A place to be cool and sheltered from the sun.

︎DESCRIPCIÓN / BRIEF


la madriguera.

 Desde las las primeras cuevas, se tardaron siglos en conquistar la privacidad de la casa. Patios frescos, accesos serpenteantes, sombras precisas. El uso adecuado de la luz y la vista, pequeñas aperturas en gruesos muros. 


La arquitectura hoy ha olvidado la importancia de la privacidad y ha sucumbido al exhibicionismo. Grandes ventanas en muros finos sin mirar a nada, enseñando todo. Cambiando misterio por evidencia. 


“La madriguera” pretende devolver la casa a su esencia, reclamando la importancia de lo introvertido frente a lo extrovertido. 


La casa como guarida, un lugar oculto, un escondite. Un reflejo que distorsiona, que amplia el jardín, que confunde y protege. No se acierta a ver el interior, un poco más adelante, aquí sí intuyo algo a través del gran óculo color plata que perfora el reflejo. Pero, ¿qué hay dentro? Una mujer se mira en un espejo, en un jardín sumergida en un estanque.


La visión opuesta, desde el interior, queda invadida por la vegetación, un estanque lleno de agua y flores que inunda la vista a través del óculo. 


La pieza reflectante acoge el uso más privado de la vivienda, dormitorio y aseo, abriéndose en ella huecos controlados que permiten la correcta ventilación e iluminación, pero siempre evitando las visiones directas desde el exterior. Introvertida y acogedora, la madriguera en esencia.


El resto de usos de la vivienda, cocina-comedor, estar y estudio, quedan concentrados en el volúmen contiguo, viejo taller de pintura. Como estrategia, se dispone el mobiliario fijo en el perímetro, dejando la mayor superficie posible libre y eliminando los espacios de circulación. La cubierta traslúcida de esta espacio, lo llena de luz cenital todo el día.


Constructivamente se opta por un solución estructural de rápido montaje, perfiles en U galvanizados que sustentan paneles de madera reciclada OSB. La envolvente se completa con aislamiento de corcho natural y algodón reciclado. El interior se forra de madera de pino, abrigandolo y haciéndolo más acogedor. 


El óculo, al igual que el resto de carpinterías, se ejecutan en acero galvanizado cepillado, que refleja y difumina la luz del exterior. En la cubierta, dos linternas de este mismo material se abren al cielo bañando de luz el espacio.

 From the first caves, it took centuries to conquer the house’s privacy. Fresh courtyards, meandering accesses, accurate shadows. The correct use of light and view, little openings in thick walls.


Today’s architecture has forgotten the importance of privacy and has succumbed to exhibitionism. Great windows in thin walls looking nowhere ,showing everything. Changing mystery for the evident.


“La madriguera (the burrow)” pretends to get the house back to its essence, claiming the importance of the introverted against the extroverted. 


The house as a lair, a hideout, a shelter. A reflection which distorts and expands the garden, while confuses and protects. I can not guess the inside, a bit closer, now i can peep through the great silver oculus drilling the reflection. 


But, What´s inside? a woman looks herself in a mirror, in a garden, immersed in a pond.


The opposite view, from the inside, is fully covered with vegetation, a pond full of water and flowers flooding the view through the oculus.


The reflective element hosts the most private spaces of the house, the bedroom and toilet, with controlled openings on it, allowing effective lighting and ventilation while avoiding the direct views from the outside. Introverted and cozy, the burrow´s essence.


The rest of the house´s uses, kitchen-dining, living and studio, are concentrated in the contiguous volume, former painting workshop. As a strategy, the custom made furniture is placed in the perimeter, ensuring the maximum free area and avoiding the circulation space. Its translucent roof, drowns it with zenithal light all day long.


For its construction, a structural solution with a quick assembly was chosen, a galvanised steel substructure wrapped with OSB (recycled wood) boards. The skin is completed with natural cork and recycled cotton as thermal insulation. The inside is lined with pine wood, wrapping it up warm and making it more welcoming.


The oculus, as well as all the window frames are fully made in brushed galvanised steel, which reflects and blurs the incoming light. On the roof, two skylights of this same material, are opened to the sky, bathing the space with light.

Se parte de una parcela de 10.000m2 con más de 300 árboles (álamos blancos, plátanos, encinas, un pinar, sauces, un enorme magnolio y cantidad de frutales) muchos de ellos con más de 100 años. Además un paisajismo con distintos niveles, plagado de variedad de especies tapizantes.El punto de partida es respetar todo el arbolado y la topografía existente. 
Se ubica la casa en la zona más alta, mirando a la sierra. Se genera una “pastilla” con todos los usos en hilera separados entre ellos por patios, que a través de la vegetación, filtran la vista y dan intimidad.
Además estos patios junto con la celosía de Piedra ayudan al control solar interior y privacidad a la zona de habitaciones.

La casa se distribuye en una planta baja con zona de dormitorios, zona de estar y comedor conectada con un gran porche y piscina, zona de servicio y gimnasio.
Un volumen en planta alta contendrá el estudio/despacho y dará acceso a toda la cubierta que servirá como gran terraza con vistas.

la estructura será de madera CLT pintada de blanco sobre pilares de acero. Los acabados de Suelo y fachadas de Piedra de campaspero al igual que la celosía de la zona de habitaciones.
 El uso de los patios y los voladizos de la cubierta sumado al uso de suelo radiante/refrescante reducen el consumo de la vivienda en 40% con respecto a una vivienda convencional.
